Date: 22nd March 2017
Venue: Optimus Seventh Generation, Westhill, AB32 6FE
This is a free event aimed at people who have some experience of simulation and FEA, but would like to look at extending the scope of the work they do. If you feel you are limited in your existing capability or simply want to enhance you knowledge of the technology then this event is for you. Starting with a lecture session covering the essential concepts of advanced simulation, the course also gives the attendees the opportunity to try advanced solutions such as permanent deformations, impacts and other highly complex events.
Some of the areas covered during the day are:
Buckling and Plastic Collapse
Digital Rock Physics/Porous Flow
Fluid Structural Interaction
Thermal / Blast
Meshing from image data for complex material structures
Morning session - Introduction to Non-Linear analysis, concepts and typical solutions, Multiphysics and Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics, digital rock physics/core analysis and reservoir simulation from image data
Afternoon session - Processes, approaches and hands on tutorial examples using the SIMULIA Abaqus software.
If you feel that you, or one of your colleagues, would benefit from this course then please register by submitting your details via the registration form and we will be in contact with further information.
